SafarMate Privacy Policy
Information we process
SafarMate processes your email account, saved trips, feedback, household preferences, generation allowance, and personal itinerary notes you choose to save. We do not request payment-card information.
Service providers
Google Firebase provides authentication, database storage, and Cloud Functions. Trip details and Weekend Ideas requests pass through SafarMate Cloud Functions to OpenAI to generate requested content. These providers process information on our behalf under their applicable terms and security controls.
Location
Foreground location is requested only when you open Prayer Times or request nearby Weekend Ideas. Prayer calculations occur on the device. A location label and approximate coordinates may be sent for a Weekend Ideas request. SafarMate does not continuously track location in the background.
How information is used
Information is used to authenticate you, generate and save requested travel content, personalize family suggestions, enforce usage allowances, operate the service, prevent abuse, respond to feedback, and meet legal obligations. SafarMate does not sell personal information or use it for advertising.
Retention and deletion
Saved information remains until you delete it or delete your account, except where limited records must be retained for security, fraud prevention, or legal obligations. In-app account deletion removes trips, feedback, preferences, generation records, and the Firebase Authentication account.
Your choices
You may decline location permission and select a city manually. You can delete individual trips in the app. You can permanently delete your account in Account settings or use the external request page linked above.
