Delete your account and data
You can permanently delete your SafarMate account and associated data either inside the app or by sending a request without app access.
Delete inside SafarMate
- Open SafarMate and sign in.
- Open your profile icon and select Account.
- Find Delete account and data.
- Enter your current password.
- Select Delete permanently and confirm.
The active account and associated cloud data are deleted after successful confirmation. SafarMate also clears its locally stored application data on that device. This cannot be undone.
Request deletion without the app
Email us from the address registered to your SafarMate account. Use the subject SafarMate account deletion request and state that you want the account and associated data permanently deleted.
We may ask you to verify control of the registered email address so another person cannot delete your account. Valid requests are normally completed within 30 days, and we will confirm when the request has been handled.
Data deleted with the account
- Firebase Authentication account and SafarMate user identifier.
- Saved trips, generated plans, itinerary notes, preparation progress, and journey keepsakes.
- Saved Weekend Ideas and household preferences.
- Submitted feedback and monthly generation-usage records.
- SafarMate device data on the device where in-app deletion is completed.
Delete selected data without deleting the account
You can delete an individual saved trip or saved Weekend Idea inside SafarMate and keep your account. You may also remove offline packs and reminders. For help with another specific data request, email support@smufysolutions.com.
Important details
- Uninstalling SafarMate does not by itself delete the cloud account or cloud-saved data.
- Device-only data on another device may remain until SafarMate data is cleared or the app is uninstalled on that device.
- Limited security, fraud-prevention, dispute, legal, backup, or provider operational records may be retained only for the period reasonably required for those purposes.
- Deletion does not remove information already shared by you through an external map, PDF sharing destination, email application, or another independent service.
